Hi Everybody!
Well July was kind of a bust for me in a lot of ways, except that apparently I did do a lot of paintings. I say "apparently," because I actually don't remember doing most of them!
I'll explain:
I was having trouble sleeping, so the doctor gave me a sleep medication. Well, it worked - I slept through the night! But my gait problems, know as freezing gait and gait initiation failure, got much worse. Of course at first we didn't know if the medication was at fault, but the timing of a severe decline in my function with starting the sleep med was definitely suspect! I literally could. not. move. my. feet.
It was terrifying for me, and for Melissa, who has to help me get up if I fall. I also didn't really feel more rested during the day even though I'd slept through the night. In fact, I felt kind of Zombie-like. So, we took me off the med, and voila! The terrible effects disappeared immediately. It was quite a relief.
I'm doing much better now, and oddly enough, am sleeping through the night most nights. Go figure.
Here's the paintings I did in July. I can't really say much about them since, as I said, I don't remember doing most of them! I was continuing to work in the oils, (water-mixable and water-soluble) sometimes with acrylic mixed in. And playing around with a kind of fine art look from some of the painters I follow online.
